What is
God’s Plan Is For You? By: Kathy Bailey
I
pray that each lady that visits this website receives a blessing from these
articles and I encourage you to write and submit an article of your own. I
decided to write an article about God’s Plan for my life and share some of my
thoughts with you. I have a quote hanging over my computer that says:
“God has more for you than plans; He also has a purpose. You do not have to fear getting on a sidetrack when God is setting your course. If He is speaking, listen. If He is guiding, follow. And when you arrive at the place He has chosen, let your heart be still. He not only knows where He has taken you, He also knows what He is doing with you while He has you there.”
Reading
this quote often brings me great comfort. As a child of God, if I am following
God’s plan and trusting in His will for my life, I can rest knowing that He is
in control.
But,
you know, more often than not, I find myself trying to “call the shots” and
form the plan for my life. And when I do, I invariably always go the wrong way.
It’s so important to have patience and really listen when God speaks. Do
you rest in God’s will? or do you, like me, sometimes wrestle with God and His
plan for your life and find yourself in a state of discontent? I would like to
challenge you today to pray for His plan and His purpose for you and your life.
And when you know that you are where He wants you to be, stop and sit at His
feet and listen. Listen to His wisdom, His guidance, be patient and let His
love minister to your heart and life.
Sometimes, when things come along in life that we don’t understand, it’s
just God’s way of letting us know that we have left Him and His plan and He
wants us to come back to Him. I pray that you will surrender to Him today. Let
God be in control of your life and follow His plan for you.
For
those of you who aren’t sure whether you’re following God’s plan for your life,
ask yourself these questions:
1.
Have I ever repented
of my sins, asked God to forgive me and accepted Jesus Christ as my personal
Lord and Savior?
2.
Am I spending time
daily reading His Word and praying for His direction for my life?
If
you can answer yes to these questions, then you can be content, knowing that
you are following God’s plan and purpose for your life. If there’s never been a
time that you have accepted Christ as your Lord and Savior and you want to be
assured that Heaven will be your home one day, I urge you not to delay, call
the church today at 926-9190. Someone there will share with you from God’s Word
how to be saved and how you can know without a doubt that you are on your way
to heaven.
