About
Kathy defines the mission statement of Compassion In
Action (CIA) Ministries as:
"Encouraging women to live active Christ-centered lives, full
of compassion and grace."
Because His strength is made perfect in weakness, the Lord has
taken Kathy’s weaknesses and adversities and given her a burden to minister to
women. By sharing her own personal experiences and often-humorous insights,
Kathy enjoys speaking about timeless truths that transform lives and reaching
souls for Christ in new and dynamic ways. Kathy strives to be an instrument of
God’s grace, used by Him to encourage women to take these truths and live their
lives full of Christ-like compassion and grace.
A believer in Jesus Christ since early childhood, her ministries
have included speaking at women's retreats and banquets, leading a weekly prayer
meeting for women that focuses on Biblical accountability, teaching a Ladies
Sunday School Class, F.A.I.T.H. evangelism, serving on the Women's Ministry
Leadership Team of her church, and publishing a
monthly newsletter for women, Reflections of Grace. In addition, she has
worked in nursing home
ministries.
Kathy has four step-sons, Joshua(24), Daniel(22), Matthew(20) & David (18).
Kathy also has one daughter, Heather, two grandsons, Elisha(7) and
Malachi(4) and two granddaughters, Alexis (2) and Jazlyn (due in June 2008).
